Real Estate Market Update - Year over Year
The latest data on the real estate market shows a significant increase in the number of active listings and withdrawn listings, while the number of listings under contract and in backup status has decreased.
Active Listings
On 12/9/2021, there were 2,810 active listings on the market. By 12/09/2022, this number had increased to 9,096, a difference of 223.70%. This indicates a strong demand for properties and a healthy real estate market.
Backup Listings
In contrast, the number of backup listings decreased from 615 on 12/9/2021 to 481 on 12/09/2022, a difference of -21.79%. This suggests that fewer buyers are interested in making backup offers on properties.
Under Contract Listings
The number of listings under contract also saw a decrease, from 7,300 on 12/9/2021 to 4,066 on 12/09/2022, a difference of -44.30%. This may indicate a slower pace of sales in the current market.
Withdrawn Listings
On the other hand, the number of withdrawn listings increased from 636 on 12/9/2021 to 1,872 on 12/09/2022, a difference of 194.34%. This may indicate that more sellers are taking their properties off the market and waiting for better conditions to sell.
Active-No Show Listings
The number of active-no show listings also decreased slightly, from 675 on 12/9/2021 to 615 on 12/09/2022, a difference of -8.89%. This may indicate that more buyers are preparing for the holidays.
In conclusion, the real estate market is showing mixed trends, with an increase in active and withdrawn listings and a decrease in backup and under contract listings. This suggests that there is strong demand for properties, but also some uncertainty and fluctuation in the market.
